Resourcefulness Not Always Resources

By Jeremy Blake on December 17, 2020

All of my three children’s birthdays are in a row, a few weeks apart before Christmas.

Our eldest daughter went to Harry Potter Studios this week and our youngest daughter has just had the news she won’t be seeing Six in the West End next week, now London is in tier 3.

My son turns seventeen on Saturday and then we can switch fully to Christmas mode!

As a birthday present he will be driving around the track at Silverstone at a max of 5mph. He just doesn’t know it yet!

We think it will be a good experience for him to be in the driving seat for a change, on the day he gets his provisional licence.  Silverstone have been resourceful and turned their track into a light show that the general public can drive around, so it will also be a great day out for the family.

Many businesses have had to re-invent their business models and think of other ways to provide experiences or get their products into customers hands.  It isn’t always possible, but there are always things you can do to communicate better with your customers.

Control what you can control, and work on communicating creatively.

Hopefully, my son might just remember his first day of driving and we all benefit from the resourcefulness of Silverstone.
