Mat has worked on Reality training programmes for organisations including B&Q and Sky, bringing extensive experience as a trainer and facilitator across corporate, medical and educational settings.

Much of Mat’s work uses realistic scenarios and role play to explore the conversations people can find difficult at work. His experience spans communication, confidence and emotional intelligence, giving people the opportunity to try different approaches and see how changes in language and behaviour affect a conversation.

Alongside his work with Reality, Mat has delivered training for organisations including the Department for Work and Pensions, BMW, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and Cardiff University’s medical and pharmacy schools.

Mat is also an actor, writer, producer and casting professional. He trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and has worked extensively in film and television. His performance background means he is particularly comfortable creating believable situations and responding to people in the moment.

Mat lives in Cardiff with his husband and their dog, Rolo.
