Bob is Reality Training’s Managing Director, an experienced sales trainer and qualified executive coach. He works with sales teams, managers and senior leaders to improve the conversations they have, challenge habits that are holding them back and find practical ways to improve performance.

Before Reality, Bob worked in advertising sales for UBM, Ziff Davis and Expedia. He and Jeremy met at the Oxford School of Drama and later brought their backgrounds in sales and performance together to create Reality Training.

More than 25 years later, Bob still spends much of his time working directly with clients. He designs and delivers training programmes across a wide range of sectors and particularly enjoys working with salespeople and leaders who are prepared to question the way they’ve always done things.

His style is practical, challenging and direct. He’ll ask questions, test assumptions and encourage people to look at familiar situations differently, while always bringing the conversation back to what will work in the real world.

Executive Coaching

Bob is a qualified executive coach with a Practitioner’s Diploma from the Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC).

He works with senior leaders who need some space away from the day-to-day to think. That might mean working through a difficult decision, looking at a situation from a different perspective, building confidence in a new role or deciding what comes next.

Writing, speaking and podcasts

Alongside training and coaching, Bob writes and speaks regularly about sales, customer experience, leadership and the changing world of work.

He co-hosts three podcasts with Jeremy and is the co-author of Whose Side Are You On? Disloyal Bonding & Strategic Lies, which explores what happens when employees side with customers against their own organisation and the effect this can have on sales, trust and brand.

Away from Reality

Bob lives in Lewes, East Sussex. He performs at comedy nights and enjoys walking, live music, a pint of Harvey’s and spending time with his two sons.
